About us

Pleasant! We are Janneke Beers and Kees Vriend and together with our 3 children we can call ourselves ‘campsite owners’ from 2021. 15 years after friends already played us as campsite owners at our wedding, this will actually happen from 2021 at ‘Camping Boven ‘t Maaiveld’. Until 2020, our paradise spot was called ‘Camping Halfweg’ and was the domain of the Klomp family for 40 years. We are very excited to breathe new life into the free camping life in this place! Camping Boven ‘t Maaiveld is located in Hoogwoud, a pleasant village, in the heart of all the beauty that West Friesland and North Holland Boven Amsterdam has to offer. Varied nature, picturesque towns, adventurous attractions for young and old and of course the fresh water of the IJsselmeer and the saltiness of the Dutch coast. In this paradisiacal place, we build new adventures and create new stories. Little by little we transform the site into a wonderful place for birds of paradise. And do you have ideas?
